Gifting Back: The Roses Only Group supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pink Ribbon campaign.
SYDNEY, Australia – 17 November 2010 – Leading online gift specialist the Roses Only Group has donated over $11,500 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s (NBCF) October ‘Pink Ribbon’ appeal. All money raised will go to fund essential research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer. The donation is a small fraction of The Roses Only Group’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and charitable causes.
The October donation is the monetary outcome of The Roses Only Group’s ‘Pink Ribbon’ gift range. The range was prominently featured throughout October, giving customers the option to purchase a “Pink Ribbon” themed gift or floral arrangement which in turn lead to a 10% donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
The 2010 Pink Ribbon campaign range is the continuation of a long standing show of support by the Roses Only Group towards the NBCF. The Roses Only Group also has strong charitable ties with the Leukemia Foundation and provides product for countless not-for-profit events throughout each year.
Founder and CEO James Stevens has stressed the importance of corporate involvement in charity campaigns, “At the Roses Only Group we see giving back as an essential core value in the day to day operation of our business. If every company took the time to give a little back we could make huge strides forward in achieving the goals of these essential charitable organisations”.
The NBCF has offered thanks to all their corporate and individual supporters for making Breast Cancer Month a success. As the race to find a cure continues, further involvement and support of the NBCF is needed and corporate partners in particular can play a vital role in the creation of campaign awareness. Individuals are also encouraged to assist the National Breast Cancer foundation. Pink Ribbon Day (Monday October 25) saw the unveiling of “Register4” by NBCF Patron Sarah Murdoch in Martin Place, Sydney in front of a sea of 1000 women in pink. Register4 is a national online research register – which we encourage all Australians 18 years and over to join in order to help researchers quick easy access to vital data, and hence speed up the search for a cure. When asked about future involvement in NBCF campaigns Stevens was quick to assure further participation. “As founder and CEO of the Roses Only Group, I pledge to continue supporting the NBCF into the foreseeable future and hope that our involvement will encourage other likeminded companies to pursue similar ventures”.
