What personal information is collected?

Participants in the Month of Love competition enter personal information as part of the competition entry.  This information comprises your name, email address and telephone number.

We only collect and hold information provided by you. 

Other People’s information which you provide to us

If you provide personal information to us about someone else (such as your friends’ email addresses) you must ensure that you are entitled to disclose that information to us and that, without taking any further steps required by Privacy laws, we may contact them for the purpose of inviting them to participate in the Month of Love competition.  For example you should contact them and take reasonable steps to ensure that the individual concerned is aware of the various matters detailed in this Privacy Policy and the individual Privacy Policies of each of the promoters.

Disclosure statement

Personal information that you provide to us within the context of the Month of Love competition will only be disclosed to the promoters by opting in to the competition at the time of purchase from Roses Only.

We will only disclose personal information that you as an entrant to the Month of Love competition provide to us.  We will not disclose to the promoters the personal information that you provide to us for other people (your friends) unless those people give us their authorisation to do so. 

In order to operate the competition, it is necessary for us to engage third party contractors to perform services for us, which involves the contractor handling personal information that we hold.  For example, we may engage third party contractors to maintain and monitor the capture and storage of data relating to the Month of Love competition entries and to fulfil the services of selection and notification of winners.  We prohibit the third parties from using personal information collected about you except for the specific purpose for which we supply it.

We will not disclose any of your personal information to any other third party unless you have authorised us to do so, or unless we are required by law to disclose such information. 

Names of winners will be disclosed publicly in The Australian Newspaper at the end of the promotion for the purpose of notification of winners and in accordance with legal requirements.

Use of personal information

Personal information that you provide to us will be used for the selection and notification of winners in relation to the Month of Love competition.

In addition, the personal information that you provide may also be used by the promoters for the purpose of notifying you of relevant products and services that may be of interest to you.  All marketing material sent to you by the promoters will include an option for you to request removal from mailing or contact lists for any future marketing.
